FIRST LOOK: THE NEW STAR TREK MOVIE « MEANINGFUL DISTRACTION

I wanted to post this ASAP from this blog. I truly impressed with this cover of Quinto and Pine. The pics of Pine prior to this cover left me cold and did not see him as Kirk. But, this pic does raise my expectations that this might be not only a good trek movie but a great trke movie. Read below for more plus vote on my poll:

I’m skeptical about this.  But I think Abrahms was right to go with “unknown” actors.

Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive first look at J.J. Abrahms upcoming Start Trek: The Movie, which debuts in theatres nationwide on May 8, 2009.

Chris Pine plays Capt. Kirk and Heroes’ Zachary Quinto win don the pointy ears of Mr. Spock.  Also starring in the film are Eric Bana, Simon Pegg, Winona Ryder, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban and John Cho.

EW has first photos from their set visit in a highly anticipated Trek exclusive that hits newsstands on Friday.
