Heroes Season 2 Promo Trailer

I am so gearing up for Heroes season 2 which is less than one month and the dvd set for season 1 is out tomorrow. While I loved everything this series had to offer, I was greatly dissappointed with the season finale by the lack of build up. I had wished that the season finale was more like the “Five Years Gone” episode. Simply put there was so much that had happened with all the characters in a future plus tons of action. This setting reminded me of the ST:TNG episode where Riker woke up to the fact his was Captain of the Enterprise in the “Future Imperfect”. The real sticking point with me was how Sylar or someone dragged away the body down the manhole and NOBODY SAW THIS!!! Come on, of all the things to throw at the fans this was crap. I would buy a similiar scene to the original John Carpenter’s Halloween where Michael Meyers was shot at the end and fell off the balcony. When Dr. Loomis went to check on the body, Meyers was gone. That would have been something I would have bought if Sylar had died the same way.

On a positive note, the great moment in the finale had to do with the brothers, Peter and Nathan. As Peter is unable to control all this powers, Nathan flies in, takes his brother high into the atmosphere, and then there is an explosion. This was also similiar to the Avengers: Dissasembled storyline where Hawkeye’s back quiver was about to explode fighting the Kree. I forgot which hero grabbed Hawkeye but he sacrified himself  and took out a Kree ship. I do remember Hawkeye saying that he didn’t, “Want to go out like this,” with the reference to him dying due to his quiver back exploding. From an emotional connection both references worked for me.
