There are times in your life when something speaks to you about a situation that you can relate to very deeply. This Aladdin parody really captures a good deal of feelings that I have seen in myself lately. I’ve trying to come to an understanding on how certain things are the way that they are. What I see in the video is nothing new to any couple who has been together for some time. Yes, what drew two people together in the first place can easily fall apart when it is negelected or changed over time. A good example would be Jack Colton and Joan Wilder from Romancing the Stone. Two great characters who fell in love in this movie and fell out of it at the beginning of the sequel, The Jewel of the Nile. They eventually found what drew them together to rekindle their passion. However, they did not have kids to deal with but this video parody of Aladdin does.

I was watching the Today show yesterday, there was a segment whereby couples who wanted to get divorced could not do so due to our economic woes. One hope that was discussed; for as long as it takes for our economy to get back into shape, this may give those couple a chance to re-examine their lives and priorities. What was once today an issue to rip out your eyes, tomorrow may yield a new lease on life. So, what to do? I have to laugh. There is an element of truth in comedy and I am not alone in the way I feel. There is always the hope that tomorrow will be better.

PS – Rosario Dawson looked totally HOT as Jasmine.
