I have said before and I will say it again when it comes to superhero movies, Marvel has the edge over DC. I truly hate the crap Marvel put on on their direct to dvd titles like The Ultimates 2 (nothing like the book and Ultimates 1 dvd & book – awesome) and Iron Man (before the movie, of course). Now, when it comes to the movies, Marvel has done a very smart line for the movie tie-ins to have them all lined up for the next several years. Whereas DC, despite having a great set of direct to dvd like Batman Gotham Knight, JLA: The New Frontier, and Wonder Woman, has stopped in their tracks. Batman Dark Knight was a major boost to the franchise. Singer’s Superman was great but nothing else has happened since. Whedon’s Woman Woman failed to even leave the gate. WTF, DC?!? Live long Marvel?

A bunch of cool artwork is on display at the Las Vegas Licensing International Expo, including the first promotional poster for Edgar Wright’s big screen adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and updated logos for the four upcoming Marvel productions: Iron Man 2, Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers which have popped up over at AICN.
