Cloverfield Monster Toy Review

After I heard the buzz on the Cloverfield Monster toy was being made by Hasbro, I was really excited to learn this. However, after viewing the images online, click here to see more, I was really dissapointed with the results. It has this weird bat faced head and retarded looking landstrider limbs. I don’t remember seeing the creature being this grey but I guess this was discussed at great lengths by the Cloverfield makers and Hasbro. This then begs the question, “This was the best they came up with?” To boot, the $99 price tag does not make this an attractive offer unless it was paired with the movie, then and only then would the hefty crunch to the wallet would it be acceptable. So, with this note, I will wait for the invisible hand to lower the price tag to a more realistic price. I love collecting toys but this is something I can wait on.

There was one person ahead of me but thankfully, he was done before I got to the window. As I said, “1 please for Cloverfield,” the cashier responded back to me, “You haven’t seen it yet?” While I briefly explained that I want to see this movie but didn’t have the time until now; looking back on her statement the second red flag waving but smacking the back of my head, “Uh, McFly!!!”. I was really dense on this matter as I wanted to see the movie and had to escape from my off day blahs.

Paramount in 2008

While the much hyped Cloverfield will be see on 1-18-08 and Star Trek XI coming out on Christmas Day, there still leaves much in between to watch this new year.

Iron Man will be mark its debut on May 2 which may be dwarfed by the return of everyone classic hero, Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on May 22.

I’m sure that I will get more excited as the time grows near but honestly, seeing the picture of Harrison Ford taking a breather off set made me almost feel that he was getting way too old to do this once again. We shall see if he can pull it off once more.

Which of the four are you wanting to see?
